A Type of Refugee is a typographic campaign that addresses the racial bias attached to refugee news coverage. Despite Article 14 of the UDHR stating that “everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution”, this does not stop mass media from dehumanizing and diminishing those involved. This campaign features a series of posters, social media advertisements, and an immersive experience that call out news hypocrisy and gives a voice to the people who need it most.
